Editing Pt2

Hey guys, welcome back to your favorite blog!!! Today, I'll be discussing editing...AGAIN. Don't worry, it won't be the same as last time, I need to update you!

Guesss what... WE ARE DONE!!! Yes, you read that right, my group and I have finally finished filming and editing! We are extremely proud of our project but trust me, it was not an easy process—ESPECIALLY the editing... As you may know from my last blog post on editing, I was supposed to be the primary editor with a bit of help from the girls. However, things changed, and we ended up ALL working equally hard on the editing. I would not have had it any other way because their ideas are what really pulled this all together. Since filming day 1, we had been exporting our clips from the camera and piecing them together on my dad's iPad. There was about a minute of footage that was (almost) ready until...THE IPAD DISAPPEARED! Well more like it was a 3-hour flight away in Bogota, Colombia, but nonetheless, we had lost all our prior work! This was definitely one of the major issues we've run into, so we had to rethink things. I didn't even realize that my dad had taken his iPad until we were looking to export the clips we had filmed that day. So we took matters into our own hands and downloaded Capcut on our laptops. Phi and I were struggling to figure out if we could both edit the video from each of our laptops and...we never ended up finding out! We decided we would just edit the whole thing on Phi's laptop until we realized it was SO much more complicated.

LUCKILY, Phi's grandma pulled through, and we used her iPad to edit our final film opener! The girls came over to my house the very next day early in the morning (10 AM, lol!) so we could finish By 12! Turns out editing like 50 different clips takes longer than two hours🙂... We ended up finishing editing (from scratch) in around 6 hours!!! With little to no breaks! Once we were satisfied, Nahomy ordered some Wingstop, and we grubbed😎. However, after all this time, we were STILL missing our title sequence and credits. While Mrs. Woz had given us some extra time to complete our project, we decided it would be best if we just finished at the same time as everyone else (because we are cool like that🥰). The next day, Nahomy and Leah finished up the title sequence in study hall, and we all gathered to view the FINAL product. WE LOVED IT! Honestly, this was the most relieving part because we realized all the work we had put into this was worth it!!!!

Some pics of the editing process (peep the laptop...)😉
