Day 2 of shooting

Welcome back, my peopleeeeee! On today's wonderful blog I'll discuss our first day shooting our FINAL project. I know you have been waiting for this one, so let's get into it 😉!

Our first day of filming was super fun, especially because it honestly just meant hanging out and having fun with my girls! It had been a WHILE since they last came over, so this was much needed. We agreed to meet up at my house a bit earlier on so we could finish planning out our storyboard before telling the guys to come over. After about an hour and a half of drawing (and just chatting, lol!), Phi texted James and Jason to come over. Since the scenes we were planning to shoot were going to be at golden hour and night, it was getting pretty late at this point (like 5ish).  The timing was an issue for a second because we thought we were going to miss the sunset aka PRIME shooting time, but the guys ended up arriving right on time with the camera in hand😎.

The first scene we shot was the car scene, where we started off with the establishing shot of the radio playing Ribs (this was Phis's idea, and she is very proud of it😒). We had some issues with the overhead lights making a glare on the screen we were filming, but we fixed it by covering it with Phi's sweater. After that came the most important part...YOUR GIRL WAS DRIVING, YAY!! I honestly don't know why EVERYONE says I'm a bad driver (even others who haven't been in the car with me😐), I promise I'm good! I will admit, there were like two occasions where I almost crashed, but I didn't whoop whoop! Anyway...after about 10 minutes of me driving and Phi and I being filmed, I switched places with my mom to film Leah and Nahomy's scenes. Once we were happy with our footage, we headed back home!

The next and final scene we shot for the day was the gas station clips. Let me tell you...this was a HASSLE! We went to three different gas stations before finally being able to start filing. First, we went to a 7/11 near my house but couldn't film because of something about it being part of a "cooperation" (I don't even know I stopped listening after she said no), then we went to one near Westfork but they ALSO said no because they had to ask the manager and what not (we just dipped), and FINALLY we went to one near Walmart and decided it would be best to just start filming and not ask (it worked)! The employees ended up being very cool and even played a little role in our film hehe! Filming here was pretty easy and very enjoyable. Us girls just had to laugh and eat—my two favorite things!

Once we returned home, we transferred the footage from the camera onto my mom's phone (none of ours have enough storage😭). After reviewing the clips with the guys, they had to leave, so it was just us girls now! We decided to chill and eat pizza while watching a movie, a classic "us" hangout. Once Leah and Nahomy left, Phi suggested we piece some of our clips together, and it looked AMAZING!!! We immediately called the group chat and showed them, and they also loved it! Overall, it was a very productive, fun day!☺️
