Title sequence

Hey guys! Today we will be discussing title sequences!! We hope this will make our opener extra cute!

Guys........we have settled on our title. This was a big discussion between me and the girls—at first I was set on "When Summer Ends" but the lads weren't fully convinced. After MANY ideas were put on the table we found one that we all loved........

WHERE WE WERE

We have decided to use the Rockness font (the first one) for our title sequence!!! We felt that it had a handwritten, nostalgic feel to it that matched our film perfectly! Since our story revolves around four besties reminiscing their final summer moments together, we wanted to have a font that felt personal and warm, like something written in one of the girls' journals. Rockness has a kinda messy, natural style to it that gives our title an authentic and emotional aspect. In terms of color, we are currently debating between a soft white or pale yellow (as shown in the example above) that enhances our sentimental vibe. These colors are actually pretty similar so deciding that won't be a huge discussion. "Where We Were" will appear over a background image of us girls so it will subtly blend in rather than standing out boldly. For the presentation of our titles in the film, we want the titles to be shown as if they are naturally part of the scene rather than looking artificial and out of place. They will fade in and out almost like the girl's memories😢. Also, our beautiful font pairs very well with Ribs playing in the background which also has an emotional vibe that represents growing up!

Phi, Leah, Nahomy, and I considered a few different fonts before settling on Rockness. Some of the ones we suggested were Bondoni 72 Small Caps which we thought looked too formal and not fun how we wanted it. It looked like something you'd see in a history documentary... Apple Chancery was another option, but it looked too fancy and grandma-ish, which again, did not match our theme! Brush Script MT looked too pushed together and was difficult to read. It also felt a bit dramatic which didn't fit our chill, sentimental vibe. Baskerville was yet another we considered but it looked too boring and serious, like a book title. Lastly, we thought about using Bradley Hand, but it looked TOO playful and casual. Although this was kinda the vibe we wanted, this just looked straight-up childish not fitting the emotional aspect of our film. Overall, Rockness was the perfect option, and seeing the rest of the fonts just confirmed that🥰!

Also, here are our roles for the film:
Mariana (the queen): Editor
Leah (miss lele): Production Designer
Phi (phible): Creative Director
Nahomy (nay nay): Executive Producer

Very rough draft of what we want!
