Hey guys, welcome back!! Today we're going to be discussing the MAIN CHARACTERRRR of our film! It is important to pick a character who is vital to the story as a whole (beyond the 2 minutes) and who has made a large impact.

The main character will be Lucia AKA me! The film will be set in Lucia's room, a familiar place where the girls have grown up. From her perspective, we see her gathered with her life-long friends as they say their final goodbyes. While it may appear as if no one is the main character in the opener, the rest of the movie WOULD be focused on the situation from Lucia's perspective (and maybe even narrated by her). As a fresh graduate, Lucia is going through a lot of emotions all at once including nostalgia, excitement, and sadness. Her friends and family are obviously very important people in her life who motivate her to be the BEST version of herself. Lucia is a very organized balanced girl, so when she's not studying hard she is either hanging out with friends or traveling, as shown by the pan of the pictures on her wall (one of the first scenes).
Lucia is a pretty quiet person until you get to know the REAL her. Her room is decorated with many important moments in her life with the girls, symbolizing she does not want to let go of these moments. These pictures represent the stability and ease of having the same real, trusted friends your whole life, highlighting the conflict she may face when moving for university, leaving what she has known her entire life behind. They show a time when things were simple and comfortable, making it even harder for her to leave since she would not have her girls anymore. Toward the end of the opener, Lucia starts to feel new emotions (such as confusion, unease, and betrayal) after the mysterious text message interrupts their cute final goodbye😓. The message creates tension between the girls making Lucia feel confused and distrustful, showing that her character has changed. She is not the same reliable girl she once was, and with this, we realize that this friendship was what was keeping her grounded all this time...
