Soooo I have major updates....
Phi and I have decided to switch things up! We were honestly very unhappy with how the idea for our project was coming out. It required a lot of acting skills which we do NOT have... So we decided to rethink our idea. Our new plot will be somewhat similar but at the same time, not really. We are keeping the four girls leaving for university idea but ditching the whole "mysterious" act. Phi and I decided to make it an emotional, coming-of-age opener about the last summer experience. We will film flashback scenes of us having fun at my house, gas station, car, bowling, and restaurants, but in between those scenes, we'll have shots of the girls packing to leave for their universities. When we first pitched this new plan, the ideas started flowing, thinking of so many dynamic shots we would incorporate! The film will have some scenes of us packing clothes up, taking down pictures in the room, opening the acceptance letters, and wearing our uni's apparel to represent the emotional part of us parting ways😓. ALSOOOO, there will no longer be a dialogue (thank goodness, I can act to save my life)! Instead, now we will have Ribs by Lorde playing the back the entire time, which is the PERFECT song (but I will get into that in my next blog😉).
Big news on our actresses as well... LEAH AND NAHOMY ARE BACK!!!! The same day Phi and I had pitched this new idea, we knew we wanted Leah and Nahomy since we are closer to them and KNEW they would do amazing with this role. I'm also not going to lie to my amazing blog fans...our old actresses were not going to work out... Although they are still our friends and very nice people, they didn't really stay on task or understand the project and its importance. Of course, this is not the case with Leah and Nahomy considering they take the class, know all about mise-en-scene and shots, understand how important this film is, and have great ideas! Them joining us honestly settled the new idea! At first, they were just going to act in ours while still working on their own projects, but then we all decided it would be 10000000 times better if they simply joined our group, like we had planned months ago. I'm so excited to start this project with some of my fav girls!!!🥰
