Full Shot
To capture this video, I made sure to show Phi in the frame from head to toe. By including her WHOLE body, I'm able to highlight her movement and even small gestures, which contribute to how a story is told and its emotional impact on the viewers! Full shots capture the background (in this case some nice scenery of Everglades' gardenš„°) while also focusing on your subject's body language and facial expressions.
Reaction Shot
For this clip, my friend reacted as if she saw something off-camera that shocked her. This technique lets the audience feel engaged by allowing them to interpret and anticipate what is to come based on the subject's reaction. This may intensify the impact of a scene on the audience while also providing new knowledge on the subject.
Point of View Shot
While filming this clip, I placed the camera close to my face to act as my eyes, creating a point-of-view shot. A POV shot is used to show the viewer exactly what someone is witnessing from their own eyes. This technique not only allows the viewer to feel as if they are moving but also emphasizes a personal connection between them and the subject This video shows me shaking my friend's hand from my perspective.
Two Shot
To achieve this shot, I had someone record me and my friend to make it seem like we were having a conversation. In the video, the camera focuses solely on us as this type of shot is intended to capture an encounter between two people. This type of shot allows the audience to observe both subject's body language, expressions, and dynamics, creating a sense of intimacy and understanding.
High Angle Shot
While capturing this video, I realized the difficulty of obtaining a high-angle shot while standing at the same ground level as the subject. To resolve my issue, I recorded her while standing on a bench to get the highest angle possible. This elevated-angle evokes feelings of isolation and abandonment in the audience by making the subject look lost and vulnerable.
I enjoyed your portrayal of a reaction shot. I was really able to get a good sense of the subjects emotions.
ReplyDeleteIn addition, the POV shot was well done. As a viewer, I got a good sense of the scene and felt like I was living in your perspective. Also your subject seems really cool and pretty and fun and awesome
Your shots were done very well. I really liked your two person shot, it was done very well and both subjects were clearly in frame, you could see how the subjects are conversing. Furthermore, I also enjoyed your high angle shot, while the subject is in frame the audience could still see the objects around the subject. Additionally your subjects acting is absolutely impeccable and beautiful
